You might think to yourself whats wrong with my factory Wrx air intake, There's nothing wrong with the factory air intake, but there is a good bit of restrictions. Nearly a full pound of pressure is lost due to the restrictiveness of the factory air intake snorkel, resonator chamber, air filter, and air box.
 
First thing you will notice when driving the car is how much more audible the turbo is as it spools up, and the blow off valve can also be heard more clearly. It will also give you a deeper exhaust tone as well. After you install the AEM cold air intake you will notice you gain a 1/2 PSI.

 Installation of the air intake is fairly straightforward, the AEM Cold Air intake comes with very thorough instructions which includes plenty of pictures. The only real challenge during the installation of the air intake was not breaking any of the plastic clips that hold the wheel well molding in place.  A little patience and a gentle hand you'll be able to remove all the clips without breaking any.  To gain a little extra room to maneuver remove the wheel/tire instead of just turning the wheels all the way to the right like the instructions recommended.  From start to finish the installation took me about one hour.
